Status Audio built the CB-1 on a straightforward premise: cut out the retail markup, spend it on better drivers and padding. It largely works. The 50mm drivers produce a full, controlled sound that holds up against headphones costing twice as much, and the detachable locking cables solve the most common failure point of budget headphones. The closed-back design delivers real isolation for tracking.
