Our take

The original RODECaster Pro defined a product category. Four XLR inputs with individual phantom power and APHEX processing, four headphone outputs with independent mix-minus, eight sound pads for music and effects - everything a panel podcast needs in one device. It replaced a rack of gear. The honest position in 2026: the RODECaster Pro II is the current product with meaningfully better preamps (Revolution vs Class A) and a more capable processing engine, and used original Pro units are now available at substantially lower prices. The original is still a capable console - but if budget allows, the Pro II is the right buy for a new setup. For a used purchase or tight budget, the original earns its place.
