The Rode NT-USB+ is a professional-grade USB-C condenser built around Rode's Revolution Preamp - an ultra-low-noise, high-gain circuit that delivers 20dB of clean gain before the signal even leaves the mic body. It records at 24-bit/48kHz with a 20Hz-20kHz cardioid capsule, includes a detachable pop filter and desktop stand, and connects via USB-C to computers, tablets, and phones. Rode Central software unlocks onboard DSP effects including noise gate, compressor, and high-pass filter.

Our take

The NT-USB+ punches well above its weight on preamp quality - the Revolution Preamp is genuinely quieter than most USB mic circuits, and you notice it on quiet passages and in untreated rooms. The detachable pop filter is a thoughtful touch that distinguishes it from competitors where the pop filter is glued in place. The Rode Central DSP processing is useful but requires the software to unlock; out of the box you still get excellent unprocessed audio. At the price, this competes with the Elgato Wave:3 and AT2020USB-X - the Rode wins on preamp noise floor, the Elgato wins on software mixing ecosystem.
